I’m Gregory Edmunson, and my wine journey began at 19 when I left the buzz of San Jose for Paso Robles. The laid-back Central Coast lifestyle and wine culture instantly hooked me. My first deep dive was during a grueling 117-degree summer harvest, quickly teaching me I was more suited to the tasting room than the vineyard. Soon, I became Assistant Tasting Room Manager at Le Vigne Winery, an Italian-style winery where I learned from a Level 3 Sommelier and certified Fromager, developing a love for wine and food pairing, especially with cheese.
After a brief pursuit of audio engineering, my passion for wine drew me back. At Domaine Serene in Oregon, I partnered with my friend Levi Seed to run the 45th Parallel Series, a premium food and wine experience. Levi pushed me to pursue certification through the Court of Master Sommeliers, and after passing, we set new records at Domaine Serene, creating unforgettable experiences.
The pandemic brought me to The Joel Palmer House as a sommelier, but I eventually returned to sunny Paso Robles. Now, as Tasting Room Manager and DTC Director at Dunites Wine, I’m dedicated to making wine approachable and inclusive, encouraging everyone to explore and enjoy!
Wine Tasting Experience
- $160 for 2 hours minimum - (Wine not included)
I offer a personalized experience, tailored to fit your wine, beer, spirits, and cheese needs. Do you love hosting get-togethers and want a killer wine and cheese presentation? Do you have a wine cellar, but aren't sure when to open optimally aged wine? Why not throw a customized wine tasting in the comfort of your own home, with no driving, no waiting, and no obnoxious customers or pretentious bartenders!
I'll have you covered. Once we establish a good time to meet (virtually or in person), we can set parameters for your personal wine experience! Possible ideas include:
* Wine tasting of local California wines,
* One bottle (local or international) to discuss and taste.
* California wines vs international wines.
* California vs. Oregon wines
* Wine and Cheese: Californian wines with local gourmet cheeses.
Any experience can be enhanced or expanded. The vibe can range from easy-going introductions, to food pairings, to discussion of specific clonal wine types and soil variations.
I provide glassware and utensils; no worry clean up.
I come to you, so you don't have to drive!
